Review Seven: Sweep Volume One by Cate Tiernan

Book: Sweep Volume 1 by: Cate Tiernan
Pages: 592 pages
Source: Bought
Synopsis: The first three Sweep books bound into one gorgeous edition at a fabulous price! Morgan Rowlands never thought she was anything other than a typical sixteen-year-old girl. But when she meets Cal, a captivatingly handsome coven leader, she makes a discover that turns her whole world upside down: she is a witch, descended from an ancient and powerful line. And so is Cal. Their connection is immediate and unbreakable; Cal teases out Morgan's power, her love, her magick. But Morgan discovers too soon that her powers are strong-- almost too powerful to control. And she begins to suspect that Cal may be keeping secrets from her . . . secrets that could destroy them both.

My Thoughts:
What made me pick up this book was the synopsis. I love the idea of witches and all that kind of stuff. Having romance in it made it a whole lot funner too! The characters were pretty decent, I didn’t love them but I didn’t hate them either. I have to say that my favorite was Cal-he’s H-O-T!!!
The author has a weird way to write and that I didn’t like. In some parts (you’ll hear me saying this a lot if I don’t like the writing) I felt like I had written it. It just didn’t pop out at me. The endings were pretty bad too. I felt like they were the endings to a chapter instead of a book, but I guess that’s good marketing because it leaves you hanging and then you have to buy the next books. This book didn’t take long to finish and it was pretty cool to read.
