My Favorite and Non-Favorite Heroines in YA Fiction

Okay, so, I LOVE reading about girls that aren't shy, wimpy, and whiney (those kinds make me want to barf). It makes me feel empowered and that's really empowering...so. Here are some of my favorite heroines in YA Fiction:
Chloe Saunders (The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong): Chloe is one of my favorites because she's smart, she can see ghosts (and do more), and she's warm-hearted. She doesn't let anything get in her way and she thinks things through. Yay for Chloe!
Clary Fray (The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare): I can relate to Clary a lot because she cares so much about her family and friends. She's also really intelligent and funny. Plus, she has Jace *jealous*.
Least Favorite Heroines:
Bella Swan (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer): I just hate this whiney, ungrateful, plain chick. She's really stupid and obsessive and, well, I wouldn't ever want to be her friend. I truly feel bad for Edward and his having to be attached to her. Plus, she's plain and doesn't talk much; she's really anti-social and she has friends? I just don't get it...
Bethany Church (Halo by Alexandra Adornetto): Okay, so this girls suppose to be an angel right? Yet she has her human boyfriend and brother and sister protecting her all the time. She doesn't think for herself and she basically depends on Xavier for support. Gr...

Thanks for reading!
