Series: Yes, Flawless #2, Perfect #3...
Synopsis: Everyone has something to hide—especially high school juniors Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hanna. Spencer covets her sister's boyfriend. Aria's fantasizing about her English teacher. Emily's crushing on the new girl at school. Hanna uses some ugly tricks to stay beautiful. But they've all kept an even bigger secret since their friend Alison vanished. How do I know? Because I know everything about the bad girls they were, the naughty girls they are, and all the dirty secrets they've kept. And guess what? I'm telling.
My Thoughts: I thought the Clique Series was okay, so I wanted to try this series. Plus, the TV show looked awesome and the books are always better than the movie/show right? I didn’t expect so much from the book so I got hit in the face with how intriguing it was to me.
The story line was fantastic! I never knew what was going to happen next. The characters were well written and each of told a story of their own that fit into the big picture. I didn’t like how the main characters-Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna-were whiny about their lives (I would probably whine too though, their life kinda sucks other than being rich). They could so easily apologize and makeup, but no, they’re too good for that.
I also didn’t like how this story was really clichéd. They’re all rich and they all have major gossip about issues and their fearless perfect leader is gone which makes it worse. Blah, they could’ve at least been in the middle class society, but I guess that’s one of the things that make the story interesting.
Pretty Little Liars was great book and I enjoyed reading it. There’s lots of mystery and intrigue and I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the series. I just hope “A” doesn’t scare you off if you read it!

I've been meaning to watch the TV program ever since it started a few weeks ago, (in the UK) but I keep missing it, so I think I may try reading the books instead. Great review!
