Waiting On Wednesday (13)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking The Spine.
The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan
There are many things that Annah would like to forget: the look on her sister’s face when she and Elias left her behind in the Forest of Hands and Teeth, her first glimpse of the horde as they found their way to the Dark City, the sear of the barbed wire that would scar her for life. But most of all, Annah would like to forget the morning Elias left her for the Recruiters.

Annah’s world stopped that day and she’s been waiting for him to come home ever since. Without him, her life doesn’t feel much different from that of the dead that roam the wasted city around her. Then she meets Catcher and everything feels alive again.

Except, Catcher has his own secrets -- dark, terrifying truths that link him to a past Annah’s longed to forget, and to a future too deadly to consider. And now it’s up to Annah -- can she continue to live in a world drenched in the blood of the living? Or is death the only escape from the Return’s destruction?

Why I Want it: Oh. My. God. Words cannot explain why I want this book. Well, one word can: ZOMBIES! (I heart zombies)

  1. One word can explain why I don't want to read this book: zombies! =x I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of zombies. My ex-boyfriend screwed me up by forcing me to watch zombie movie after zombie movie. Now I can barely go outside at night without thinking there's a zombie behind the garage or behind a trash can or something. Ever seen Zombieland? I do all of the rules (especially the one where you look in the backseat of the car, lol).

    I mean, I've been curious about this series, for sure. But I think I might terrify myself to death just trying to read it. ;x

  2. @Kristina That sucks. I LOVE Zombieland. I think I follow all his rules too, I even have an emergency Zombie kit just in case the Zombie apocalypse arrives:) I think you should read this series, it's not really scary and it has romance in it (if you like that stuff) so it makes it not solely based on flesh eating zombies.
    @Jen ME NEITHER!

  3. LOL haven't read too many zombie books so might as well give these a try. I have seen parts of Zombieland and I did love it.
