Author Interview: Mary Hooper

Mary Hooper, author of Fallen Grace, has kindly accepted to do an interview here on Friendly Reader. Welcome Mary!

Describe your book in three words:  DEATH, DICKENSIAN, DEVASTATING.
Who do you relate to in Fallen Grace? Well, certainly not any of the wicked Unwin family. It would have to be Grace herself.
Some of your favourite books: I like historical fiction; BLEAK HOUSE is one of my favourites, and - more modern and both based on true stories - THE SUSPICIONS OF MR WHICHER (Kate Summerscale) and ARTHUR AND GEORGE (Julian Barnes).
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?: Terribly torn between somewhere remote, beautiful and luxurious and...Disneyland. (If you're going to throw in free tickets for the rides then it'll probably be Disneyland).
The craziest thing you've ever done? That would probably be last year when I did a surfing course for oldies in chilly Devon (SW England). I was the only participant and the instructor was very determined!
There you have it! Here's the trailer to Fallen Grace which is coming to bookstores near you in February!
