Review: Zombies Vs. Unicorns

Book: Zombies Vs. Unicorns Edited by Justine Larbalestier and Holly Black
Pages: 432 pages
Source: Bought
Synopsis:
It's a question as old as time itself: which is better, the zombie or the unicorn? In this anthology, edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier (unicorn and zombie, respectively), strong arguments are made for both sides in the form of short stories. Half of the stories portray the strengths--for good and evil--of unicorns and half show the good (and really, really bad-ass) side of zombies. Contributors include many bestselling teen authors, including Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray, Maureen Johnson, Meg Cabot, Scott Westerfeld, and Margo Lanagan. This anthology will have everyone asking: Team Zombie or Team Unicorn?

My Thoughts:

I don’t really like anthologies that much but this one totally rocked my socks! The mini arguments between Justine Larbalestier and Holly Black were absolutely hilarious! The stories themselves were awesome too. My favorite one was Cassandra Clare’s zombie tale. I LOVE zombies and I love reading about zombies and Cassandra Clare is one of my favorite authors so it was pretty awesome reading it! One thing I didn’t like was that some of the stories were really boring (mostly the unicorn ones-I’m team zombie, not unicorn). Other than that, this is my favorite anthology so far! TEAM ZOMBIE!
