Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?
A: I think that my moods change more based on what I'm reading. For example, if I read a sad book, I become a sad reader. If I do get into a depressed mood, I usually read a romance novel and if I'm in a happy mood I'll read anything:)
I think I probably am the same way too. It also helps when you have to read a bunch of books for review in the same genre, because then if the last one made you happy your read it your mood carries on to the next book.

Hopping through. It's definitely easiest to read books when you're in a happy mood. Then everything seems great.

I gravitate to my favorites like a comfort or an old friend.

That's what I do to. If I read a really sad book, then it's sure that I'll end up feeling sad. But if I'm sad, I pick up a happy book to cheer me up! :)

Same here! That is usually what happens to me too. Sad book = depressed. Happy book = happy. :] New follower!

I know the feeling. I do the same. An unhappy book makes me sad all day.

I think a well written book as the ability to affect your mood.
